Ambulation

Ambulation is basically assisting a patient with walking. Most CNAs would use a gait belt, but they don't always have to. They could hold their hand and give them back support like shown in the picture. When a CNA is assisting the patient with walking they shouldn't walk too fast, but walk at the pace of the patient.
Modified Bed Bath

If a patient is bed bound then a CNA will have to give the patient a bath while they are still in bed. Before the CNA starts to clean the patient they need to let the patient check the water to make sure it isn't too hot or too cold. If the water is good then the CNA will start with washing the patients arm and then clean the face, behind the ear and around the eyes, and proceed to the rest of the body. Remember not to rub the rag too hard because the patient could have sensitive skin.
Serving Food

Of course patients have to eat because if they don't they will starve. When a CNA delivers a patient his/her food they have to tell them what they are serving them. The reason for this is because the patient could have allergies or be allergic to certain foods, and if they eat something they are allergic to then they would have to be rushed to a hospital or worse.
Clean Dentures

When a CNA has to clean a patients dentures they should wear gloves and also put the dentures in a cup of water just like shown in the picture. The nurse will wash the dentures with a tooth brush in a downward position. The teeth and the gums on the dentures should be washed thoroughly. After it has been washed then it should be placed gently in a container.
Making a Bed

Like you would make your own bed at home a CNA has to make a patients bed. Its an easy thing to do just make the be like you would at home neatly, but the hard part comes in when you have to make a bed with a patient in the bed, shown in the picture below. In order to complete the task the nurse would roll the patient over gently on one side and make the opposite side of the bed, and do the same thing to the other side.
